Nova Scotia Bird Tours
Currently I offer custom birding and nature tours in Nova Scotia. These tours can be designed for your needs, whether you are here for a day, are a big group looking for a guided bird walk, looking to snag some target bird species, or anything in between.
Pricing for single-day tours out of Halifax are listed below, followed by some suggested itineraries. Prices are in Canadian Dollars and include HST. For all other pricing, please inquire.
Single-day (1-3 people): $300 +$50 per additional person.
Single-day outings
Fall

Wolfville and Grand Pre in late summer and fall to take in the large numbers of roosting Semipalmated Sandpipers and other shorebirds, as well as a nice mix of migrating songbirds along the North Mountain.

Hotspot hopping in the Halifax area for fall rarities, as well as shorebirds.

Truro area to look for rare geese amongst the thousands of Canadas, as well as other waterfowl, and raptors.
Winter

Halifax Harbour and reaches looking for wintering seaducks, grebes, and alcids, including Dovekie and Thick-billed Murre.

Grand Pre for wintering raptors, and Horned Larks, Snow Buntings and Lapland Longspurs.
Spring/Summer

With a plethora of breeding songbirds, including 20 species of warblers, we can bird a variety of wooded and shoreline habitats to catch the breeding chorus and bright colours.
